Keifer HAD to be #1. Closest thing to a sure thing as you'll get int he draft. This was a no brainer.

Good pick Sully.

I was hoping, though not expecting, that Keifer would fall one spot for me. I have my concerns, but I think he's the top talent in this draft. Based on potential, I'm not sure when we had a pitching prospect like him in the draft.

I went back and forth on three pitchers, but decided to draft SP Erik Keifer out of USC. My scout suggests he's more complete pitcher of the three, so we'll see how that works out.

He was the only pitcher that would have changed my mind on my first pick.
