Yep, we are back to boring baseball. Might as well get a nice game of "sensible soccer" going. As you can tell I loved the steroid era.

Could you imagine if football was played today WITHOUT drug enhancements. YUK!(Unless you believe that 300lb players can really run a 4.5 / 40)

It's a pitchers league. The draft has reflected this. That's why there are times you have to pass on a great pitcher to get a good hitter.

    Time to lower the mounds.

Travis Skinner is looking solid. Maybe he should have gone second in my imaginary draft.

I finally have something to talk about, so, I'm going to do it. Some shout outs for random stuff that got me here:

MR Clarence Hickey - What about this guy? My SECOND Rule V pick this past year, Hickey goes bananas for us with a 1.73 ERA, sub 1.00 WHIP (0.98), finishes 6th in the DL in ERA, top 15 in H/9, BB/9, 6th in WHIP, 8th in OPP AVG. A guy I told myself all season wouldn't make the playoff roster if we got there earned his spot.

CL Koichi Nakashima - How about this guy? Sets the all time BLB ERA record (for qualified relievers. And Yi actually tied it, now tied for second of course). Leads the DL in saves (tied with Black). Top 10 in nearly every significant pitching statistic. Faltered down the stretch, but, simply unhittable across the entire body of work. If he's not the DL Last Call, I quit. Well, not really.

MR/SP Dave Heath - What about this guy!? We get him off of waivers from Virginia in July and he's been incredibly solid for us ever since. 13 starts, 8-4, 2.58 ERA. The K numbers are a little concerning long term but who cares right now. A huge pickup for us after Dusty "Enjoy AA" Reber magically fell apart at the halfway point.

SP's Travis Skinner and Ivan Martinez - these two, highly touted as prospects, low stamina starters finally put it together, both with low 3 ERA's and a lot of consistency. With the rotation of misfits around them all season, they helped get us here.

Despite Ollie Kane shitting the bed twice this past week... We're in! Thanks boys. My retirement will be easier knowing I'm leaving behind a playoff-caliber team. Who knows, if a couple of bats come alive, we could do some damage in the first round.

If memory serves, there once was a new GM who led these piggies past a heavily favored Maine Guides team in the post-season. Can lightning strike twice?

Another awful week for the offense that had been looking a lot better, but we get it done with pitching like the first half of the year. 5-2 including 3 of 4 from Indy to close strong.

Draw LA in the first round. I don't think we have much of a shot but who knows. First playoffs in 11 years and only my third series in 19 seasons as GM.
Congrats, you did what you needed to do. We puttered out at the end, and you finished strong.

    But then you do this.

I'll leave a spot for you by the beach.
Be ready to lather him up with some SPF 50 when he gets there, Cabana Boy.

But hey there's nothing like keeping VA out of the playoffs for the first time in what feels like centuries.
Unless you personally injured Pancho, you didn't keep VIR out of the playoffs.

He is properly listed on my playoff roster screen on the right side under "Players eligible for the Playoff Roster." However, when I drag him over it says that my roster is full or he is not available. Is there a way around tihs?
Make sure you're dragging to the correct roster (Active Roster). It's easy to get mixed between the Playoff and Active Roster.
