I claimed 3 guys and got one. The other two guys weren't claimed either. I don't really care that much, but let me see if I got an email when I check when I get home.

My concern and suggestion for the Gentlemen's Agreement was based on the fact that OOTP doesn't handle waivers well and it always results in more work for you (Andrew). I do agree that Waivers are part of the game... but so is a system that works and doesn't require boatloads of manual intervention.

But if you're cool with it...

Personally, I don't see a need for a gentleman's agreement and won't be criticizing anyone if they claim a player and then later try to send him down. Monitoring the waiver wire is part of your job as GM. It takes 2 seconds to check it every sim and there's nothing preventing you from claiming the guy right back if somebody tries to sneak him into the minors.

You then have 21 days to either cut them, send them down, or put them on the active roster.

Of course... we're going with the "agreement" that if you pick someone up from waivers... at least for this sim, you need to put them on the active roster... and not try to sneak them back into the minors.
Except that you can't send them down assuming the reason they were put on waivers in the first place is that they are out of options. They still will not have cleared waivers. I believe that for you gentlemen the agreement is that you are not to put the player back on waivers in an attempt to get him into your minor league systems.

Rochester wasn't on waivers... his $24 million price tag was.

    And it seems noone bit...

Guys with a plus sign who are not on your active roster have been placed on waivers. If no one claims them and puts them on their active roster, you will be able to retain them in your minor league system.

Understood. That's cool because I have a couple of dudes that I don't think will cut it.

Good question. I would like to know this as well. I have guys I will drop or put on waivers myself if I get anyone.

I know that has been discussed and agreed to by the gentlemen in the league but what about the rest of us?
