I'm hesitant to say anything about this matter since we seem to have a good group of owners on our hands, but the subject of tanking is worth mentioning. I don't want install a whole bunch of overbearing "house rules" to discourage teams from doing it because nothing ruins a league like a bunch of overbearing rules. But I do want to make a general statement on the matter.
Like it says above, feel free to play your young players over your veterans in an effort to get them some experience and up their ratings when the dream of a competitive season is no longer realistic. But if we egregious violations like owners playing 25/30 youngsters over 60/60 veterans to improve their draft position, then we have issues. Basically, you'll know it if you're doing it.
Again, I don't think this will be an issue with the group of guys we have. But I just wanted to cover all the bases.
Any owner suspected of tanking their season in order to improve their draft position will be removed from the league. This ruins the integrity of the league and can’t be tolerated. Obviously, this wouldn’t apply to an owner who opts to play young players for evaluation once a competitive season is no longer realistic. However, owners who make a clear attempt to take a dive will no longer be welcome.
