In a Rex Grossman like performance, Rookie QB Dan Shaw was greeted by a tenaious assault led by DE, Grant Franklin. His OSFL debut was highlighted by being sacked 7 times and tossing 2 ints, and coughing the ball up 2 more times.
Kalispel behind 24 to nothing at half, mounted a slight comeback. Trailing 24-10 with 11:21 left in the contest ,Shaw drove his team 87 yards on 12 plays. On fourth and nine at the Los Alomas 14 yard line Shaw hit Toby Richard for what looked like an apparent first down. Los Alomas S Earl Beal made the tackle and the chains were brought in. The referee looked down at the chain links between the ball and marker and signalled Monster ball on downs.
Shaw turned the ball over on Kalispel's next two possessions to wipe out any more thought of a comeback. The last being Grant Franklin's 3rd and final sack of the game, resulting in a fumble.
Los Alomas controlled the clock with 42 running plays . Henry Harrell rushed for 107 yards on 28 of those attempts.
As predicted Kalispel felt good about it's defense, but uncertain what to expect on Offense.
