  • OSFL Award Predictions

While I wait for my lady to get up so we can take back the over priced luggage we bought, I'm going to post my predictions for Post Season Awards.

    Player of the Year:
Anchorage DE: R.J. Peterson, 64 tackles, 24 assists, 26.5 sacks
-R.J. has been mentioned in more steriod abuse rumors than Bonds and McGwire combined. The "New (injection) Freak" has not been found using any banned substances despite three "random" drug screenings this year. His outstanding performance this year, has lead Anchorage to a AC North leading, 9-6 record. Peterson and the Gladiators can win the division with a win over division rival, (8-7) Kalispel Stags.

    Coach of the Year:
St. Paul Head Coach, Randel DeMoen
-Randel has turned this ship around, period. Combined with the maturation of young qb, Dusty Galloway, DeMoen has turned this hard-luck squad into a NC powerhouse. Despite St. Paul GM, SoobieTech's attempts to downplay the Bandits success, they are one win away from clinching home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. Great job, St. Paul.

    Offensive Player of the Year:
    Columbus QB, Corey Lincoln, 263/468-56%, 3880 yds, 37 TD's, 17 ints, 93.9 QB rating
-Although the league's all-time leading passer didn't put up the unbelievably, gaudy numbers like in '06, he decided to just put up normal gaudy numbers this year. Corey never ceases to amaze, throwing 76 touchdown in the last two years. Corey is loved by most fans around the league and has led the Catfish to an 11-4 record and a chance for the NC south crown this weekend.

    Dammit, running out of time.

    Defensive Player of the Year:
Anchorage DE: R.J. Peterson, 64 tackles, 24 assists, 26.5 sacks
See above Player of the Year prediction.

    Offensive Rookie of the Year:
    Sherman Ellison, Ohio Valley

    Defensive Rookie of the Year:
    Clyde Oliva, Motor City
