Thanks Skydog. I'll use the updated version from now on. Good win for Columbus against Morgantown and the Lincoln-Mathis combo is nearly unstoppable. 231 receiving yds for Mathis? Thats crazy.
On the Gainesville front, good win on the road against Charlotte and it puts us at the top of the NC. I'm still hesitant though. 2 yrs ago, we were 9-3 and lost the last 4 games to miss the playoffs.
Sweet! That should be a big help in updating the php/mysql site when I eventually get it running.
Yup. It's huge. It creates the initial data tables for you, and is smart about what it does and doesn't update. The one limitation is that it only uploads in the current season. So, for the first run, you'll need to load up the end-of-season file from each season and run DBUpdater each time. After that, though, it's just a matter of running it each time there's a sim. My preseason DBUpdater runs for WOOF have been right at 90 seconds. The regular season starts on Wednesday. Greg is saying it will take me longer at that point, but he's not sure exactly how long. I'll let you know.
DBUpdater: This will read a league file and update a MySQL database with the current contents of that file. It will only grab data from the current season, so to seed your database you may need to go back to old season-end backups the first time you run it. If you only run it once at the end of a given season, it will still grab everything for that season, so that is the one run you MUST do. Otherwise it will be smart about incrementally updating the database, so running it every sim won't take very long and will keep everything up-to-date. All tables it creates are prefixed with "fof_", and the tables will be created the first time it is run on a given database. If you want to browse the schema, see DBCreate.sql in the installation folder.
New utility: DBUpdater. Will create and maintain tables in a MySQL database that contain the Interrogator data for an FOF league. See DBCreate.sql in the install folder for details on the schema. Can load an entire season at once (which means that for old seasons, you must go back to old season-end backups and work your way forward one at a time to catch up), or incrementally update just changed, new, or deleted data since the last update. Make SURE you run at least the post-Bowl state to keep everything up-to-date.
I mean what does a guy have to do? He's not even 2nd team All-Pro.
Interesting to see so many of my rookies making the All-Rookie teams though.
It's mainly because even with the 7 INTs, his coverage numbers don't stand out. He is one of the worst in the league in terms of catches given up by a strong safety. Only five have given up more. His PDPct is good, but it's only fifth among safeties, and all those catches are why. The guys ahead of him are in the same ballpark in tackles, and have better all-around coverage results. Basically, it can be argued that Yerger has a lot of interceptions because people throw at him a lot, because his man is open a lot.

I wasn't able to run it from work, but I think it's a problem with my host. I'll play around with it this weekend. We'll probably still need some custom tables but this is a very good start.
