I was deciding between Coates and Martinez. Definitely not a bad pick. Guy has a very live arm, but I was turned off by his low stamina and propensity to give up the long ball.SIN CITY GAMBLERS since 1990

I'm mixed. I think Gerard is legit Top 10. I saw Reyes as someone the teams in the 20's would be looking at.Originally posted by Sully View PostYeah, Coates was a solid pick. I still think it was slightly too early for him, but Morgantown could've done much worse. The two picks after I'm not too crazy about. The Great One!

Gerard is a weird case because he shouldn't be able to put in the outings in the Cape Cod league that he does with that Stamina. I'd be concerned that that "skill" in feeder league doesn't always translate to being able to throw more than 56 pitches per at the BLB level.Originally posted by Sully View PostI think Reyes may have a future as a MR. As a Stout rival, I hope you burn in hell..... but... that being said.... the Keifer pick with #1 makes this entire draft almost gravy for you at this point.... that would have me personally leaning towards gambling on potential. If you miss the rest of your picks, you're still getting an ACE. Look at #1/#2 on the Top Players list right now... you're getting one of those.Originally posted by Sully View Post3 picks til mine and there's two guys on the board I really like. One is a need, the other is just so damn tempting because of his potential.
In a related story, Keifer has to be the happiest player in the league right now knowing that that Wilmington/California trade saved him from being eligible for a Presidential Run before he'd get the call to AAA.The Great One!
Too many rings to count.

Los Lunas made it easy for me. Really liked de Luna with my next pick after Simmons was off the board. Good pick for the Pigs. I'm going with MR Fred "Buzz" Green. My scout thinks he has the best arm in this draft, and a 4 endurance. If he can learn a third pitch, he might be a good one.

Ugh. Just could not make a decision and wasn't crazy about anyone except for a guy with a huge red flag and I couldn't convince myself to take him.
Went back and forth with a couple hitters after talking myself out of the second tier of starters, but landed on a guy out of nowhere, Omar Ramos. I'll try and develop him at short, and hopefully he pans out halfway towards what my scout thinks he can be.
Passed on a couple guys who should be considerably better hitters but might not have fit in the organization as well.Charlotte Knights - OSFL
Syracuse Slammers - BLB
