I think Walter Lacour made it to 42, but I'd be surprised if anyone else made it longer.Originally posted by funclown View PostDoes anyone see Alonzo Gugierrez hanging it up? You mean when he won post season MVP in '94? That was a fitting end.Originally posted by BradZ View PostI'd wager he will. It's too bad the way his career petered out at the end, but that's what old pitchers do.WINDY CITY PLAYBOYS

He prefers the name, Shitty. As in, although he is one of the all-time best, he is still having a shitty year.Originally posted by mwetts View PostGremades is having a superb year at 37.

Sorry. Two Pitt owners ago.. used to cry about how terrible Gremades was, despite the fact that Shitty consistently (as you see to this day) putting up monster numbers every year. Somewhere along the line, (I'd wager it was either Pat or Clay) gave him the name "Shitty" and ironically it stuck. You'll see it referred to here and there every once in a while.Originally posted by mwetts View PostTo be completely honest I am not even sure what this means.
It was the biggest joke in the league when I joined up back in '84...wow ten seasons ago. Which was really like 3 or 4 real years ago.
Damn I'm getting old. I need a drink.Last edited by Delandis; 09-03-2011, 11:09 PM.
