Not serious obviously, but that team was nasty. Not sure it still stands, but at the time of my departure they were tied for the BLB single season wins record (114). Offense was 1st in runs scored, pitching was 1st in ERA and the back end of my bullpen was awesome (Sato/Simmonds). All of that and I lost in the first round of playoffs to an 80-82 Los Lunas team.

That was back before Howard Haydon decided he was going to suck. I got into financial hell and had to tear the team apart afterwards. Abe, Simmonds, Buzzell, O'Connelan, McGee, and Haydon were all gone within the next year.

I agree with JJ.

I also think the 2001 Mariners were the rightful World Series champions, the 2007 Patriots are the best team in NFL history, and that we should just move on to 1996 and give Clay the bottle of bourbon already.

I forgot to mention the '85 steroid scandal that involved every team but the Millers.

And, for the record, if you think my opinion sways the owners in this league in MY direction...you're nuts. If it has any impact, its the other way.
