Listening to offers on Trujillo, Melendez, Kane, and Knight only. Fate, Goto and the rest of the cronies are staying for now.

I almost gave up on Melendez a couple of times; but he always came storming back at just the right moment. He must like the spotlight because it seemed he always pitched better when the rest of the rotation was struggling.

Kane pitched better than I expected, the couple of years he played for me. His stamina proved to be important on a number of occasions. I relied on the Pig Pen quite a bit and sometimes over-worked the relievers. I could get a complete game out of Ollie every so often, which helped a lot.

It's funny... Even though I looked at stats constantly when I was managing; I never remembered a number from one sim to the next. But I still remember how players made me feel about them. Geez... I think I need therapy.

Both of them are favorites of mine, with Melendez emerging as an Ace of our staff when Fate wasn't up to par. Both players are free agents after this year and is the only reason I'm listening to offers.

The lack of interest may lead me to resign both guys. Kane is getting up there in age but still very reliable.

Since when was this decided. Was there a vote?

There wasn't a formal vote, but I believe we had two seasons in a row where the Manual Voting results weren't entered while the game would accept them meaning we had 2 straight years of in-game selected All-stars. Then, last season (IIRC) we had sparse voter turn out and went ahead and allowed the game to select them once again.

So, technically it happened 3 seasons ago, I believe?

Don't want to jinx myself, but I'm actually feeling great (besides being sick of winter). I haven't posted a lot the last few months, but I surf the BLB web pages and browse the forum a couple of times each week.

It warms the cockles of my heart to see the BLB is still firing on all cylinders. And let me tell you gang, the day is coming when you're ALL gonna' appreciate warm cockles.
