I like the deal, otherwise I would have declined. But losing my #3 starter in a trade, from a rotation-weak, veteran, win-now team for a Double-A prospect, is a bailout?Originally posted by umd View PostThus, he bailed you out. No?
I've made plenty of trades in the last few years trading a very young promising OF in exchange for lesser value. OFs grow on trees these days.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-

Monetarily? Absolutely. You were butting up against your budget, maybe over it. That would have limited your ability to sign FA's, put money into scouting and PD. Instead, you shed an aging SP (who happened to have a bit of an anomoly of a career year) and was going to have an escalating future arby # for a Top 20 OF prospect, whether they grow on trees or not. Especially when you consider that you were shopping most of your aging core in an effort to do just what you did, shed aging vets for young players to free up your budget and replenish your system.Originally posted by Pat View PostI like the deal, otherwise I would have declined. We also know when you downplay a trade, it's because you bested someone... Just saying. Well actually, they bested themselves.Last edited by umd; 08-25-2014, 06:15 PM.Death Valley Scorpions (2003-Present)

OOTP 15 also got rid of the weaknesses section which sucks. I like having a scout tell you his opinion of this stuff.Originally posted by funclown View PostCan't see this anymore. Its on your homepage in game.
