6-1! A good week! Yay! We hit the ball and scored runs and stuff!

Unfortunately Jimmy Jones and Dusty Simmons are now hurt, so the scoring goes bye bye. At least we got to enjoy it for a week.

We're plodding along 12 games over .500. Not bad, but I think we're just a playoff contender and not a title contender.

I updated my trade block to fill some holes for a playoff push. Go take a look if you have some extra pieces lying around.

          Pawtucket 4-2.

Hate ever losing a game to New Orleans, but on the bright side this marked John Talleys 3rd solid start in a row. I came really close to shutting him down for the season (AAA) but he might be starting to get it?

Unsung heroes: one of those rare seasons where we've had plenty of depth in AAA to rotate people into the majors when called upon. One particular shout out is former top 100 SP Troy Donavon. He's been so crucial giving our rotation relief, replacing struggling starters when called upon and never bitching (Loyalty rating?). going 5-2 / QS% of 75. Once written off maybe the 6-6-5 POT (actual 6-6-4) is real? As a bonus, this keeps the other team guessing about who they face.

On the road for 3 against the rebuilding Slammers, then a big set of 4 at home against Dallas where "pitch around" strategy might get tweaked

We just keep rolling. One of those months. 17-3 in July. Gotta make hay while we can. JJ comes off the DL and promptly wins player of the week and gets back on the top players list. If this is his last season in WC hopefully he can make it memorable.

Also resigned Robles finally. Felt we had to pay him because for some reason he's the heart and soul of the offense. When he's out we can't score. Kind of like going to the club with Funclown.

5-1. Now 1.5 up on Dallas.

OOTP is infuriating. Why is one of my best relievers now nearly a month without any action? Roger Medina is just sitting in the pen being unused. It's July 26 and his last action was in June 29.

It just never makes sense with this game. Meanwhile, Will Perez throws 2 innings and is back out there two days later and gets hammered. Dave Weitz throws 2 innings and is back out there in one day and gets hammered. What's the point when a fresh arm with good stats is just hanging around for no reason?

Well, the good thing is McPherson, Rodrigues, Wright and Reed are hot right now and OPSing over .850. Offense is alive.

Think this will be a quiet deadline for us, really don't see any moves to be made.
