This literally goes with what Pat said in the Legend Series. If you have the money and can sign a star...sign them. Except he would have offered them a $40m Team Option thus the rule.Originally posted by liquidcrash View PostI'd been trying to sign either Moon or Mejia all offseason, I already had an offer out for him from the previous sim. I figured more people would go after him given the lower asking price, so I just kept my offer in the same neighborhood it had been before. Glad I did.
Very excited with my pitching staff now.

It puts me right up against my budget, but if he keeps pitching like he has been, I think he's worth what I'm paying him. I figure if I can add a top pitcher without having to give up anything other than the money, it's worth it, so long as the salary is within reason.Originally posted by Matt View PostThis literally goes with what Pat said in the Legend Series. I didn't really need another SP, but couldn't pass up Moon. If we can make it to the playoffs, a 4-man rotation of Lippert, Moon, Osorio and Razza would look really nice.
I remember long ago Jistic signed Dante Geake to a huge contract even though he was already strong at SP, then rode that loaded pitching staff to a title. Not sure we're that good, but it's the hope.Washington Bats, 2013-

Sometimes I wish I paid more attention to some of my mid tier prospects' fielding ratings. I think there are a couple (literally) of guys on my squad who I'm pretty sure were NOT very good fielders that are now damn good fielders according to my scout.Last edited by Delandis; 01-11-2016, 08:21 PM.

It feels odd running a Guides club that ranks 13th out of 24 in payroll and doesn't own a single one of the league's 25 highest paid players.Maine Guides
