My scout hates Langolis but yet had him rated #15 overall. it wouldn't be the first time I've overridden him. His numbers are just too good to ignore. Might bust but I have to take some risks. Lambert was a little safer. Good Stats, lots of pitches, about as good as I'm going to get for a starter at this point.
I love that in four postseason games, Langolis went 10 for 18 with 4 home runs, 10 runs scored, and 11 RBI.

In 468 regular season high school at-bats, he produced 52 home runs, 182 runs batted in, and 143 runs scored.

    Wow.

A bit of a reach but to land a lefty shortstop who can hit, field and run? Probably never too early.

LAD back to back! We are flying.

If Zachary Smith ends up half the player Suarez became, I'll be happy with this pick.

Smith does not fit my usual profile, but I'm enamored with his ability to make contact, be patient at the plate, and hit with enough power to be dangerous.

He's impressively far along in his development for a high school prospect, to the point I wouldn't be surprised if he were the first player drafted in the 2000s to make his BLB debut.
I was planning on building around Smith for a couple seasons. He took some OSA hits but at one time he had practically everything in the 7's and 8's according to my scout.

It was him or Kitchen for me at #3.

He was the only position player I was considering, so I'll say good pick. I just wasn't quite convinced he'll look as good at 23 as he does at 17. I'm rooting for him, though.

It makes sense I guess based on pitching motion, but I didn't know that.

Yes, shoulder injuries are always more difficult to return from than a normal TJ surgery
