With our first two picks this draft we go with a C Fullem, who finished 3rd in the Outstanding Hitter voting this season. We also take SP Oscar Mosquea, who won the NCAA Outstanding Pitcher award in 2016.

It may have taken a while, but I do like both picks. Diffenderfer was excellent in 2016, but has given up way too many homers this season. Still, he was in my group of best players still available.

Injuries are obviously a huge issue. But, I see him as a first-round talent if he's actually on the field. The injuries don't seem to have affected his talent or any of the ratings that I can see. We'll rebuild him, make him stronger.

I like the pick. I was going to choose him over my guy but it was the injuries that swayed me the other way.
