Gave up a lot, but got the guy I wanted in Negron. I couldn't believe he was still available after Windy City pseudo picked him in the 1st. I figured Jistic would pick him if he got to him so decided to trade up.

Use your preference list if you're not going to be around. That's what it's there for. I would encourage everyone to start using their list (and turn it on!) a little more liberally as we move along. The amount of talent after the 3rd/4th rounds don't really warrant taking a huge amount of time to make a decision.

I was mainly thinking for the 3rd or maybe 4th round since its running over the weekend and there's still some talent available. But I'm picking at the front of the round, so fuck it.

I can't believe he was still around. I just knew you moved up to pick him too, but I didn't have the picks to trade up and get him.

Luis Miguel Gutierrez, another 16 year old. One of my scouts absolutely loved him and others were lukewarm but it seemed like a good time to gamble :)

Time to focus on some positional prospects now for a bit. Pitching wins championships :)

I can't believe the list I built in the middle of Round 1 is going to still be good going into my 3rd Rounder. I'm either damn lucky or have awful scouts.

It was basically a coinflip for me between Meadows and Braedon McMenemy. 3 of my scouts were higher on Mcenemy and more developed already. I would have been happy with either of them.

I was either taking Meadows or Gutierrez but my best scout preferred Gutierrez by a little bit. I hope I don't regret the pick since a good starting pitcher is so valuable.
