Wow, I played .500 ball this sim. Yeah Bulldogs!

Don't look now, but the indomitable Pete Kellum is hitting .280 now and has 6 HR over the last month and change. HE'S NOT DEAD YET!

Great sim, went 5-1. 5 of the 6 games were 1 run games with the final game only being a 2 run game. Lucky to get away with a few W's in this sim.

Pedro Eires added another couple to bring him up to 34 and give him a 10 HR lead.

1-5... wheels have completely fallen off.

But we're still 13 wins ahead of last years total.

Probably my worst sim of the year.

1-2 against Carolina, 0-3 against Wilmington, including three loses by one run. Lost my #5 SP for three weeks, and one of my best single-A SP prospects for 12 months.

I'm now 8 games back, and just about done.

3-3 sim. I can take 2 out of 3 against the Guides but apparently I can't win a series against the Clowns.

Oh... and another 2 week injury

A 3-3 sim to kick off August. Bill Johnson, Danny Nelson and Joe Sargentini continue to hit the ball really well.

In typical Virginia fashion, we crawl within 3 games of Dallas and are in danger of losing the #1 pick. That would be just like us to be this bad and still not be bad enough.

Los Alamos is heating up.... only 10 games out! I think we might have a shot!

                    (I don't really believe that!)

Yeah, I hear ya. That was a tough series though. I really thought I'd win a couple from you, but I guess not.

On the other hand, I brought a few guys up from the minors and a couple of them (John Claus and Frank Heyward) actually played really well. We'll see how long that lasts.

a rough 2-4 week. looks like the injury bug has hit me too! nothing hardcore, but 3 starters are out/day to day right now.

and again, for some reason, i can't download the newest league file... ?

After losing something like 14 out of 15 I proceeded to sweep Windy City and then get swept by Los Alamos. I can't figure this game out though I suppose that is obvious to at least a few of you.

The two new pitchers I got both performed reasonably well and with a couple of guys returning from injuries soon I expect the team to make a strong run for fourth place in the division. I was very happy to resign Elliot to a long-term deal that still leaves money available for additional veteran help.

Meanwhile I am surprised that we have not heard from Windy City or Carolina yet regarding this SIM - each ceding the division title to the other.

Swept by Windy City. He's still got a strangle hold on the division, as we can't get over the hump this season.
