Something changed in mine though. It used to say "You have ________ left for player/staff signings", then tells me my owner won't approve the deal. Now, it says "You have no money left for player/staff signings" and continues to say my owner won't approve. I went into my finances and saw that I had roughly $5 million in budget room and $27 million for player/staff signings. Odd.

The $27 million the game says you have for player and staff signings is for 1982 while when you try to resign a guy the money the game says you have left (in this case none) is for 1983. The reason for the big difference is that the game includes our cash in the money we have available for current year but not for the subsequent one. So for 1982 you have available your $22 miilion cash plus $5 million projected balance.

For 1983 the $22 million is not yet available and the remaining difference is the salary increases some of your players are getting next year. The reason you earlier had money available for 1983 and now don't is probably the addition of Carpenter and the other guy you picked up in the deal with Wilmington.
