I agree; I don't understand why he doesn't. Probably he was already out of options last year and I had to waive him when I added Coto and Haughey for the stretch run.

If you read my previous post, it wasn't that I had no intentions of using him, he simply got mixed up in the 10 guys that I had sitting on waivers that passed through. So now I've gone through a few SIMs and he obviously wasn't a thought to be used since I didn't realize where I got him from. I've been around from the beginning of this league so I don't think I'm doing shady dealings. The rest of my life is a different story.

Now, if you'd like to charge my team 280k, with a payroll smaller than everyone but Batvia, be my guest, I won't lose any sleep over it....but my virtual persona acting as GM might. And so because of that.... I am moving him to my BLB team to spite you!!

I didn't mean to imply that you were doing any shady dealings; I just figured you either didn't understand the rule or he got moved to your A team automatically by the AI.

As far as the $280K is concerned, I knew you would never have to pay it since I will claim him back anyway. All I'm saying is that there should be some cost associated with making claims like that to prevent teams from making frivolous claims for guys they don't want to promote.

Really, all I want to do is make sure he gets a good home somewhere if I can't have him back. Not somewhere that the owner thinks of him as an A player.

I think that's exactly what happened because as Mahoney noted, it happened to a player he claimed as well. I believe this has been fixed in OOTP 9 so all claimed players go directly to DFA. I'll double check it though.

A good home somewhere? Sounds like a stray dog or something. Anyway, I've just been having fun on this thread. Needless to say, if I do find a way to do some shady dealings soon, I will take advantage of it. Hard enough to be in the Commish's division as it is, gotta find the edge!
