    4/16 - Spring Training 2

    Reminder

    14. CONTRACTS
    • If Team Option is used the Buyout must be the difference between Option year and highest Guaranteed year.
    • Only one Team Option may be used per contract, and it must be in the last year of the contract. This prevents people from stacking Player Options after the Team Option.
    • Players cannot be signed to contract extensions until after they have received their second arbitration contract. Players become eligible for contract extensions once they have two "Received a 1-year contract worth a total of $xx through arbitration." in their player history.

10-5 ties Seattle for best in the IL with the Washington Bats. It's only Spring Training, and I'm sure we will dip in ST2, but it's a bit of a surprise. No injuries, too.

We also signed former Dallas 1B Danny Gome to a 1-year deal. Going to need to swing the rust off in ST2.

Made it through the first half of ST without anyone getting hurt for more than one day. That's always the biggest thing.

We also played pretty well, going 10-5. A mixed bag in terms of player performance, but nothing too concerning.

Now let's stay healthy for Opening Day.

Healey, Banuelos, Pelloni, Ichikawa all hit well in limited at bats. Such pros.

Ian Thomas and Ed Zahn did as I hoped for two guys expected to be full time starters.

And then guys like Yantis, Reta and Moses proved they need some seasoning. Which is fine.

          No injuries so I'm good.

Goeff Perritt has hit 5 home runs in ST including 2 multi HR games. Save some of that for the regular season, please.

Torn rotator cuff will sideline Ted Rollins for the season. He would've had a shot at a bullpen spot.
