That's flawed logic because we rip Smear more than anyone (real or fictional) associated with this league and, if I'm not mistaken, he won the "J. Allen Wright Award."

In fact, I would argue that the Gremades jokes actually focus more attention to him and put more eyes on him than might otherwise be looking

Oh... and... they're not real... that's just a small part though.

I recently made a couple jokes about Gremades figuring after all this time JJ should realize it's all in fun. Not sure if he ever responded but he obviously doesn't see it's just a joke.

I'm all for this being a nice laid back place where we can talk about the league, sports in general, joke around, etc. but I have to agree if someone can't take some jokes this may not be the right site for them. I've read a lot of posts on this site and have never read any posts as low as the ones JJ made toward Clay in this thread. I give Clay credit for staying cool...I'm not sure most of us would've.

See, this is another reason why I don't appreciate shots to my team. If you were a forum lurker not in the league, you'd think my team sucks by the way people talk about it. Nobody would have an idea that I've won 103 and 99 games in the last 2 years. Apparently Buzzell and Gremades are mediocre, Abe is a second rate pitcher, and Haydon was the worst 1st round pick in league history. I don't get why my team is degraded all the time.

Oh well, I really don't think that what Clay or some lurker thinks about your team should be a big problem. Give him a break. He writes the kind of stuff guys who have never been to the playoffs write.
