Went with Fred “Little Red” Falloon at 2.1. Think he can be a solid two way player and shouldn’t take long to develop.

SP Mel Eaton at 2.3. Might be a bit of a reach if his OSA page is correct, but his stats and my scout suggest his command could be better than what OSA projects for him.

        Spear up

Great pick... I was really hoping he'd fall to 2.2!

                Baltimore’s early selections:

1.21 Fred “Nomad” Stapleton - OSA likes him just a tad better than my scout but this a guy who has already established himself as a leader, which is plus in Baltimore. He has finished the last two seasons as a Top 3 finalist for the HS POTY, already boasts a 94 mph fastball on the gun, and looks to already have good control for a HS star.

2.2- Trey Eubanks - I convinced myself that Eubanks was worth a future 1st round pick, trading our 2031 1st round pick to California for him. The numbers are there though. The kid has 57 HS career home runs, finished 2nd in voting for HS BOTY in 2028, and racked up a 22 game hit streak earlier this season. My scout likes his contact and avoid K potential a bit more than OSA and I’m always good for at least one reach pick every year.

Baltimore Bulldogs - BLB since '84
                - Porter Champs: '92, '93, '97, '98, '01, '03, '06, '08, '12
                - Playoffs: '92, '93, '97, '98, '99, '01, '03, '06, '08, '12, '13, '14, '15, '16
                - Brewmaster's Cup: '01

Sorry for delay. Had the selection down to three players then I had to help put my daughter to bed. Only took about 90 minutes...

Seattle selected Miami 1B Fitzpatrick "Aquaman" Fisher on pun-night. He broke the NCAA HR this season and finished with the 3rd highest OPS behind Mal "The Crow" Brady and Ian "Pickles" James. His 1.457 OPS was more than .500 points higher than the 2nd best on the Hurricanes. He also plays in a very pitcher friendly park.

What does all that mean?! That he will probably be a dime a dozen platoon 1B.

JJLinn is up to start round three in the morning. TWO HOUR CLOCK!
