Up, down, up Pawtucket goes. We are maddening inconsistent. Still , decent May at 19-10 so guess I'll take it.

Your boy, Edwards just threw a shutout. He gets the job done in Baltimore.

Sweet. Hey look at your 'Storm' over here right now.

I always rooted for Edwards, he just never showed me alot in AAA plus his walk to KO ratio was my worry.

Thanks Brad! The early AM sims are great.

Seattle goes 5-1, sweeping Batavia and taking two of three in Philly. The Pilots are now .5 games better than Maine for the best record in baseball.

He's getting a lot of help from our defense, and some luck, with a .223 BABIP, but it's interesting to see 35-year-old Dave Teel having one of his best ERA/WHIP seasons. My scout says his velocity and stuff have taken a hit and without a contract extension this will be his last year in Seattle. Hopefully he can keep it together through the year.

RF Hidekazu Mizoguchi returns from a rehab stint after a three week injury. The 2029 All-Star is a huge part of our outfield defense. Glad to have him back....for now. He's fragile at just 26 and seems to get hurt a few times a season.

Damn what a resurgence from the Storm. I'm glad to see he found his groove again.

4-2 week for the Bats, winning both series against Los Angeles and at Windy City. That keeps us in first place and we sit at 31-19 through the first 50 games of the season. I'd be happy to keep this pace all season, which would see us win about 100 games.

Home runs continue to be a big part of what we do - we hit 10 more bombs this week and have a BLB-leading 75 for the season. Ethan Broadbent leads the IL in that category, a big surprise for my minor FA acquisition. One guy who didn't homer this week was Rory Smith, but the second year 3B is currently 2nd in the IL in WAR and is looking like the star that my scout suggested he could be.

On the farm, top prospect 2B Dave "Cabfare" Davidson is looking more ready by the week. He hit .311 (.987 OPS) in May and is climbing the list of Top Players in AAA. He wants to be in the BLB and combined with Freddie Mangan's bad month, he might get his wish if the current trends continue. We'd be giving up a bit in the field, but my scout has always thought Davidson could be a great hitter.
