    Thanks Matt!

Seattle signs veteran SPs Jamie Stone and Bill Roman, along with veteran lefties Ron Wallen and Pat Conlee. Pitching was our downfall last season and I think all four of these guys will play important roles for us. Still a few decent FAs left but we are probably done spending.

Pre-season predictions really likes our team but I think a lot of it will depend on a lot of aging players. Stone, Roman, Ingle are probably 3/4 of our best pitchers and are all north of 36.

No big signings here, as Leo Evans is going to be the only major league free agent I sign this offseason. Trading for Stokes was our big move.

I did sign a couple of SP to minor league deals that include major league options, Tristan Sheppard and Ron Horton. I think one of them has a shot to make this team as our #5/6 starter, but not sure which one. I'm not too confident in the back of this rotation. I'll also need an extra SP for the first month while Van Westen is out. I'll also need one later when he's out again, so it's nice to have options.

Other than that, I'm pretty happy with this team on paper. It's not that much different than last year's group, and our top 3 in the rotation can pitch with anyone in the league, in theory (postseason games not included). We should be pretty good.

I decided to sign Josh Allen to a contract extension. Don't make me look stupid, Josh.

Took a chance on P Ian Oberle. My scout thinks he can start, but being honest no idea. He was popular and seemed reasonable for a one year deal.

Alot of new players. See how this all fits.

Mel Eaton went from 55 potential control to 45 in like three sims. Also noticed that the scouting reports randomly list him as a RP in the scouting report after being shown as a SP in previous reports. Has anyone else noticed anything like this? Rocco is listed as a RP as well, but hasn’t taken a huge potential hit. Chabwera took a ratings hit and lost velocity despite not being injured.

I saw alot more hits during the version change. I've seen many young PROSPECTS, not injured lose velocity which never happened before. Kind of use to this now.

You're definitely not alone. I had several SP prospects get listed as RP on the report. Had one (Quon Wang) show up as a RP and lose velocity.

LEAGUE NOTICE: Just wanted to remind everyone to take another look at the remaining FA Pool. There are a TON of players who have lowered demands. Some, were asking for BLB guarantees and are now willing to sign minor league deals, some even without the major league option. It's a good type to fill out your minor league depth or to add a few players to invite to ST2.

Funny stuff. Also what freaks me out about the comic is the characters have an eye outside of their head.

I always wondered if he could start. I never tried.

Oberle hits lefty. When FA opened I tagged him as a “late sim target” because I needed a LH starter. Almost made a big offer, too.
