Not sure what is going on in California, but our late season drive to finish out of last place seems to be carrying into the new year!

The young guys at the back end of the bullpen aren't overly scary, but they've been getting the job done so far.

Something we don't usually get are timely hits, and we have a 4-1 record in one run games.

We Middaugh for Figueroa, and so far he has been a good catalyst up the middle, and Childress (0.271, 4 HR, and 8RBI) has done an admirable job filling in at first.

Now... that damn Santiago, and we might really have something.

        Thanks Brad!

Seattle goes 3-3 on the road (1-2 LAD, 2-1 BAT) losing all three games by a combined five runs. Only 1/2 a game up on California, 1 game up on LA, and 2.5 on Denver.

We do have a candidate for ROY in 3B Mat Barone. The switch-hitting 25-year-old is hitting .277/.847 while posting solid defensive numbers. The former 2nd round pick is being counted on as a power source against RHSP after the FA departures of Robby Caddell and Jimmy Edge. He's on pace for a 5.3 WAR which would be by far the best I've had in a rookie as long as I can remember.

        Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
        Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041
        Washington Bats - 1979-2013
