Another 4-2 week in California brings us to 3 games over 0.500 for the first time in a long while... And we're now tied for 8th in the IL!! It's going to be a long, hard battle for that last playoff spot in the IL... Or to see which one of the Bock teams sneaks in by winning the division.

Some California system highlights this week...

Cj McVicker, who was picked up in a trade, because he came with a first round pick, has been 13-9 with a 3.11 ERA in California, and highlighted his time with us by throwing a no-hitter against New Orleans this week!

Brevin Guo, a lightly regarded prospect, who appears to have ratings to be a solid BLB player, batted 0.348 with 1 double, 1 home run, and 3 RBI in his first week in AAA.

1.2 Overall pick Adam 'Fuck You Batavia' Watson may be finally putting it together, as he took home the AA POW hitting 0.682 with 4 doubles and 4 home runs. The consolation prize in the Roddy 'Kodiak' Sierra draft is hitting 0.304 on the year, while posting 3.1 WAR, and playing stellar defence in all three outfield positions, while still trying to learn 3B.

Our RL team finally had a winning weak, as it went 4-2, with all of this year's pitching prospects pitching well. We have very little in the way of excitable prospects on the mound, so this was nice to see.

On the downside, our minor league system continues to get hit hard with injuries that is testing the depth of our young players.

After years of being a hot mess at all levels of the BLB world, this has been a season to watch, at least thus far, in California and affiliates!

        Thanks Matt!

Seattle goes 4-2, 2-1 vs. Maine and then 1-2 @ Syracuse. The Bock is now a four team battle only separated by half a game. Should be an exciting 2nd half. Both California and Windy City had significant injuries this week and I really think we will fade in the 2nd half. Don't be surprised if the AI controlled Phoenix Roadrunners shock the world and win the Bock with like 84 wins. They will likely then go on to represent the IL in the Brewmaster's because OOTP.

OF Manny Nieto hit two HRs in his Seattle return against the Guides winning POTG. For the week, he hit .462/1.716. It's a nice swan song for the 34-year-old as he's basically the #2 hitter in Pilots history behind Swope in most categories.

My single-A squad is in danger of missing the playoffs for the first time in 14 years. Sure could use some ringers down there...
