Looks like we're the winner for losing a player for the season. 25yr old SP Herman Fisher.
The good news. He was our #5 BEFORE we signed Geake so he was gonna be in AAA. Glad we brought bodies up to lessen our odds. PHEW!WINDY CITY PLAYBOYS

Man, I GOTTA' figure this FA contract issue out. The owner just won't let me offer anyone more than a 1-year contract. I had a legitimate shot at signing a couple of guys that could have helped me; but everyone I was interested in wanted at least a 2-year contract.
Nearest I can figure, the AI must be assuming that expired contracts will be extended at the existing levels (or higher). Based on my current budget and continuing contracts, my offers would not have put me over my budget in "a future year". I don't have a very strong SP rotation now. The Javelinas could be taking a giant step backwards this season.Last edited by Gyrodork; 02-26-2009, 11:22 PM.

Locked up Haydon for 4 years at a reasonable price and did alright in ST. Sykes, John, and a few others are coming up for the rest of ST just to see how they do.
Tim O'Fay is pissing me off, though. He's batting leadoff, starting every day, and his expectation is to be at the top of the lineup, yet his Role on Team morale is "angry". What the hell else do you want?Last edited by JJLinn; 02-26-2009, 11:33 PM.

Same here. I've been having to PM Andrew to make offers for me because I can't make any offers longer than 1 year.Originally posted by Gyrodork View PostMan, I GOTTA' figure this FA contract issue out. Nevada Guizan got a little banged up for us and will miss the rest of Spring, but that's it for injuries. Cabezas came down with heat exhaustion and had to sit a couple days but he's better now. Other than that we went 9-3, hit the ball pretty well with solid pitching. Nino absolutely raked, nothing new there. In a positive note for us, Shawn Gates threw 4 innings of no-hit ball in his last start.Washington Bats, 2013-

I believe after this next sim (ST) before it clicks over to the regular season, you can send the guys back without them getting a contract.Originally posted by MattG View PostSo bringing up guys from AAA doesn't start paying them if I move them back but it does add them to my 40 man roster? The Great One!
Too many rings to count.
