Alan Starr. Talk about a guy that caught on late in his career. Cool to see him still kicking around the league.California Kodiaks - GM - 1982-2013

Hopefully he can be a mentor to top prospect Mike Murdock. Plus, a switch hitter off the bench is useful.Originally posted by Lintyfresh85 View PostAlan Starr. Talk about a guy that caught on late in his career. Cool to see him still kicking around the league.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-

I'd love to have Higgins back :(Originally posted by The Pride View PostI signed a few scrappy pitchers to round out my pitching staff (bullpen included) and despite them not being top tier pitchers, my staff is definitely better than last year. Hopefully, that means some good.
Denver might have a new promotion on Opening Day. A bunch of rookies all over the field.
Seltzer (DH/1B), Al-Sadat (2B), Browning (LF), Borkholder (C), Higgins (UTI).

It wasn't a bad trade...Higgins is the only guy that turned out to be good, and McNeilage and Lang were clutch for me that season. The main problem is that Lang turned into a pussy fuck after said season.Originally posted by Pat View PostThe curse that continues...if you had not made that trade, you wouldn't be locked into the contract that is Tommy Lang...

Since someday he'll wear my hat in the HOF... I should comment... Good Luck to Wilton Harcourt in Baltimore. I think he'll hit a ton of bombs in that bandbox if he stays healthy.
Definately puts Baltimore in the conversation in that division... still could use some pitching though. The Great One!
Too many rings to count.

The guy had three good seasons in Virginia...all of which were for a non-contending team. I think if Harcourt makes the playoffs with Baltimore once or twice, has a good year every season of this contract, he will be wearing orange and blue in the hall.Originally posted by Clay View PostSince someday he'll wear my hat in the HOF... That division is so wide-open that a deal like this might make Baltimore the front-runner.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-

I didn't see Tesina on the FA list.
I also saw that Simmonds moved to Virginia and the guy who wasn't getting traded this year got traded.

(B) He'll play two years in Baltimore tops
(C) I have the tie-breaker vote on the HOF committee.

1. That .215 season is hardly HOF worthy. And yes, he did start his career in Virginia,Originally posted by Clay View Post(A) He had 4 good seasons as a Colonials. He started his career with Virginia.

2. You may be right here. Is that last year an option? But he is only 35. Latham was mashing this season at 40.
3. Touche. I guess it might take a little more to swing the vote...if Baltimore wins a title behind Harcourt's bat...no way he doesn't go in as a Bulldog.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-

(A) .215 in a season where BA's were low when power numbers were high in many cases.
(B) Last year is optional, but $27.5 for a 37 year old???
(C) Baltimore needs pitching to win a title. They should make a playoff with him on their team, but they'll need to add pieces to win a title. The Great One!
