  • SIM COMPLETE - 1980 - Sim 12

Things are getting tight in these division races!

It seems like Bill Fallon got the message. He hit 3 HR this week, and my offense has been much better as a whole since adding Bill Johnson. Johnson has done his share as well, hitting .346 with a .978 OPS, 4 HR and 12 RBI since coming over.

1-3 vs. Dallas, 2-1 vs. Los Lunas. Gained 0.5 games on LL. My hitting still sucks. Hopefully with Monterola back, our offense will get a jumpstart.

Huge week for the Tobs, 3-1 at Davenport, then swept Baltimore at home. Bringing Latham in 1st in the standings, can't ask for more than that.

The 'Magician' has been unreal for you. My only question is how does he have 4 losses?

Eh, bad week. Steward is hurt, and I'm petrified that it'll permanently damage him. That's about it.

We've scored a combined 4 runs in his 4 losses. All 4 times he's lost it's been in a quality start. Hopefully the addition of Latham will help solve that problem. Of course, going up against Lacour, LaRochelle and McEvoy has led to some pitching duels.

EDIT: Just realized 3 of my starters are in the top 8 in league ERA. If that keeps up, we have a good shot.

Well we managed to split our 4 game series against Baltimore, but we were only able to take 1 of 3 in Virginia. It seems like every week, we have 4 hitters have great weeks, while the other 4 completely tank. A poor week from Woodbury, as he contributed just 4 singles in 28 at-bats. With both Iliquez and Gomez returning this week, I'll have to mix things up a bit. Our pitching actually bounced back this week. If they stay on track and our hitters come together, we can hopefully have some sort of success.

ugh, 1-2 versus both of my division rivals. We had a HUGE chance to make up games, but just couldn't do it. The hitting has been great, for the most part, but the pitching continues to be awful. It's been hard to find a fifth starter this season. Kenneth McAlinder is back in there for now.

I feel fortunate that I'm just 1 game above .500 and still only 3.5 back. This is going to get interesting, and hopefully soon.

Just a .5 game out. This division is hell!

Also extended Kirby for 7 years. One more core player sewn up.

4-2 on the week, and now tied for first. I hope Peyton can help out.
