I really liked Philly's Kamuta pick. My scout had him at 7-5-6 with 3 dominant pitches.

Zzz. I'm at the downtown Portland beer festival checking to see if it's my pick. How lame am I?

I'd really like to move up to the late second or early third. If you're interested, let me know what you'd need.

This makes me never want to trade a 1st rounder again. Sooooo many good looking players getting away from me its maddening.

I figure I can plug him into my offense today... and no one will notice a difference.

Way to pick 'em, Linty.
That's .216 average is going to take him places. ;)

With pick 2.17 the California Kodiaks select LF Wes Farmer from the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod League.
Kodiaks GM Dave Lint had this to say about the pick.
"We liked Wes from the beginning. We had him pegged as the eight best available talent in the draft and we are happy he fell in our laps at 2.17. We look forward to watching Wes move quickly through our system and expect him to make an impact in three to four years."
On the season, Farmer is hitting .216/.333/.365 with 1 HR/7 RBI's in 74 at bats.
