I just reloaded the 1/1 sim, to see and I it didn't allow me to change it.

Sorry, I just checked my PM box to see what Riverman told me about it last year.

Turns out you can adjust it during the preseason period, which is about February 1st and lasts until spring training.

Go to the 'manager' menu. Then click 'home'. On the right side under 'information center' is the player development report.

It just says Last Report, then 1 and 2 years. How do you know when Last Report is? Also nothing seems changed for me.

Matt, just go look at any player card... you'll see the most recent scout is sometime in January. It's at the top of the card... it'll say... so and so scouted this player on... 01/--/89.

The Player Development screen shows you the current report (it's on the right of that screen where all the ratings numbers stand).

The option to choose Last Report, 2 Years, etc. is to compare the + or - impact on your players current/potential rating.

So, if you choose Last Report, and don't see any +1 or -2 or whatever then that player didn't change since the last report.

I'm sure, however, that if you go to First Report, you'll see that there have been some changes since that First Report.

Its because we (and a lot of other teams) had only 1.5 million spent on scouting. We overspent and they cut the scouting budget.

Linty spent 5 million on scouting last year. He probably has them working 80 hour work weeks in California (double OT over 12 hours).
