  • League Back History

If somebody wants to write a back history for our league to add to immersion, feel free. I planned on starting in 1990 to keep the league somewhat current, but this can be changed.

For an example, check out the current league I'm in: http://sttfrk.com/plb/rules.php

Also, the person's who's history is used will receive a monetary bonus for their team when the league starts. The bonus will be 2x the bonus for writing an article, which is TBD.

Are you talking something like the 'Timeline' in your current league?

It can be anything really. In my current league they used the 1981 strike, but it doesn't have to be a work stoppage. Can be as creative as you want, and can start in any year. Just a history of how the league was started. It can be a timeline or just a few paragraphs.

Incidentally, that league is a very cool league for you guys that like history. It takes a mix of fictional players and MLB guys that either never made it or are at the end of their careers. I've never looked at so many obscure Baseball- Reference pages as I have since I started with them. I believe there's going to be a team available in the offseason for anybody who's interested.

I'll throw something together. But anyone else that wants to should as well as what I come up with might be crap, LOL.

I've actually done this before in an old league I was in for a different baseball game.

Cool, I'll give people a couple weeks before I decide. If we get a few submissions we could even hold a vote to determine which one to use.

The bonus as currently written, would be $200,000 added to your team's cash. This may change based on the financials we're using in the game though.

Very good. Though I'd do it for free....unless of course you giving me a real $200,000

Sure, I'll have my financial advisor get in touch with you ASAP. :D

Seriously though, there will be financial rewards for your team for pretty much any writing that is done for the website. As i'm sure you know, these leagues are alot more fun when people are writing articles, posting on the forums rather than just changing their teams once in awhile.

I won't be able to finish this until we have the final team names.

Also I think we should do a season preview after we have seen our rosters.

Sounds good. I think we only are missing 2. Jimplication needs to create his, then we need 1 more owner.

I plan on doing a lot of articles like season previews, reviews, etc. Hopefully other people will too. All that type of stuff will count as articles for participation bonuses.

                          Got your email and replied.

Is anybody else interested in participating in this? Jistic wrote some very good stuff but I want to give other people a chance to take a crack at it too, since there's a bonus involved. If you're currently working on something, let me know.
