6-0 sim including a 4 game sweep of Los Lunas which puts us into a tie atop the division

3-3 week for us, finishing a series win @ Davenport before splitting 4 against Windy City. Results for our new callups was pretty poor, but we managed to get some wins. Only 4 games out in the division and in last place, it's anyone's guess who will come out of the Bock and get swept by Virginia.

I support a 4 way tie (haven't studied the remaining schedule to see if that's even possible). Bock chaos.

I still contend he won the Triple Crown.

He and Ivan Solis (who's not even in the majors anymore) both hit .322 in 1987, thus, he should have tied for 1st in average. If he ties for the league lead in average he would have been rightly awarded the only Triple Crown in BLB history.

They didn't tie though, IIRC. In the event two players have the same average to 3 decimal points, you go to the next decimal until the winner is determined.

Edit: Looking back, Shannon was rounded up to .322 (.3215) and Solis hit a "clean" .322 .

Damn shame he didn't win the Triple Crown that year... because the next year, during ST, HAL took him out for the year... and he hasn't been the same since.

Still a great hitter, the power though, that was sapped with the injury.

Too bad we don't have old box scores from that season. It would be interesting to go back and see just how the last few games unfolded.
