I wish. We finished last about every year then managed to go 5-1 to start the season and therefore lost out on most waiver claims. We're always screwing ourself!Originally posted by Jake View PostI thought we went based off of previous years' record for the first week?

See, you should have used this opportunity to pretend you didn't know Washington had a worse record. Then let it roll as Pat slowly realizes you were mocking him.Originally posted by Skerik View Post....right.
I'm gonna sit out a few plays.
I expect better from you next time.

Baltimore Bulldogs (5-7; 3 GB-Porter)
2-1 vs. MOR
0-3 vs. VIR
2-1 vs. WIL
1-2 vs. WAS
5-7 sim against the Stout isn't where I'd thought we'd be at this point but I'm not complaining because it could easily be worse.
Two Weeks in Review
-Outside of Vic Escamilla and Loren Wallace, our hitting has been uncharacteristically terrible. Don Castor is barely breaking .250, while Kubota is struggling to hit .230 through two weeks of the season. I'm not worried as I'm sure both of these guys will pick it up as the season goes along, but it is strange to see these two start so slowly at the beginning of the season.
-On the other hand, our pitching especially our bullpen, has been amazing through the first two weeks of the season. We are 1st in K's and 4th in BB's, but unlike the last two years, we are last in HR's allowed. We are shooting ourselves in the foot by giving up too many homeruns.
Other News
Its great to see that Don Castor and now, Lonnie Grady have been added to the top players lists. At this point we now have five top players, according to OSA, with JJG likely lurking around the Top 25 pitching.
The Injured
Takanibu Sato was injured making a defensive play on a fly out against Washington on 4/16. He'll be out for 3-4 weeks.
Next
Interdivisional play. This is where divisional crowns are won and lost, so I'm looking for a good performance here. 3 @ Philly and then 4 vs. Batavia will give us a good look at where we stand early in the season.Last edited by Delandis; 04-12-2011, 11:37 AM.

Picked up a couple vets (Elliot & Lippincott) on the cheap. Figured I'd see if they have anything left in the tank. I love Elliots OBP potential, hopefully that eye of his is still pretty good.

Shit. I'm not used to this and didn't come prepared this week.
Anyone have a broom I can borrow? Two if you got 'em...
