Saw that. Ouch would be my only comment. I actually thought you were going to take 'Beanpole' and I was going to draft Beaver that draft.

Freedom Send DeBenedetti to Indianapolis: It came down to the last hour of a self-imposed trade deadline, but the Philadelphia Freedom and Indianapolis Clowns finally came to an agreement on a trade that had been rumored for weeks. The trade sends Philadelphia's 33-year-old minor league first baseman Tyler DeBenedetti and a 1st round draft pick to Indianapolis in a swap for 29-year-old closer Jamie Cook. Both GMs seemed relieved that the deal had been completed with one stating, "We had to set a deadline to get it done." The players are expected to report to their new teams by tomorrow.

In his 1288-game career DeBenedetti has tagged 1141 hits with 182 doubles, 35 triples and 75 home runs. His lifetime batting average is .247 with 427 RBIs and 495 runs scored.

So far this season Cook has 14 saves in 35 relief appearances with a 2-4 mark and 2.29 ERA. Opposing teams are hitting .238 against him.

Velasquez Guns Down Philadelphia: In a splendid 9-0 shutout performance, Richard Velasquez of the Carolina Tobs subdued the Philadelphia Freedom on a 3-hitter.

His manager said in postgame comments, "He kept hitting his spots and putting up zeroes."

Velasquez registered 7 strikeouts and 1 walk.

Velasquez has a 7-5 season record so far. In 17 starts, he has fanned 109 batters in 110.2 innings with a 3.82 ERA.

Latest Injury Report on Alt: The medical report is in: the injury that has kept California starting pitcher Zack Alt out of action since 07/07/2010 will sideline him for another 13 months. The 29-year-old Alt, who has a torn ulnar collateral ligament, said he heals quickly. "I'll be back soon," he said, "and I'll pick up where I left off. "

In 17 starts this season Alt has fashioned a 3-9 record and a 5.69 ERA.

Also, Dani Trujillo needs just 22 hits to break the All-Time hits record while Zak Gaston needs just 3 triples to supplant one of the Virginia 9. Not sure if he gets there though.
