In the older versions if you sent a guy to AAA, he could stay on the 40 man roster but he would be considered a minor league until you brought him up again therefore he wouldn't be on your books. You'd also lose an option which makes sense.

For instance, I waived OF Micah Jennie. He has cleared waivers. I thought once that happened you could move them back to the minors? Or is his salary guaranteed no matter what I do? According to the finance page, it seems he's still $280k.

Don't quote me on it, but I believe that your balance sheet only gets hit at a rate of 16% of the 280k (~45K) when a player is in the minors but making the BLB min.

I kind of hated that you can't know what manager a player might hate before hiring said manager.

But I guess it's a way to say you don't know until they've worked together. Makes me hesitant to pay guys for long years.
