I have to say though, you'll probably need to find some decent sliders.
Out of the box, the console version didn't play that well.
But with slider tweaks it plays a very good brand of baseball.

I absolutely love the analog pitching, hitters eye, commentary and franchise mode.
I hope you will too.

WWE looks intriguing this year but I really need to know the matches flow well.

Also really want nhl but I'm wondering if fhm will satisfy me enough to avoid that cost.

WWE surprised me this year. I didn't play last year's game much at all.

The customization is better as they added in arena creation. The gameplay is very good. Pacing hasn't been an issue. There is a slow build to every match and the animations really add to it. For example, wrestlers looking stunned after two counts, or taking a rest after delivering a big suplex, and even using the ropes to help bring them to their feet.

My biggest gripe was that each match has been too competitive. Too back and forth. It usually takes more than one finisher to end a match, I don't like that. I'd like to see more squash matches. I started to play with sliders last night to fix those issues.

NHL is fun. I love the puck physics on this gen, it's a game changer. Out of the box NHL plays AWFUL. I've been using TNK's sliders from OS and that's saved the game for me.

I'm a huge fan of the MLB2K series.

There are several mods available for the PC version so you can get updated rosters, etc.

You can give that a try if you like?

The PS4 sports lineup has been enjoyable. I have NBA, NHL, Madden, WWE in my regular rotation.

In terms of PC, you might be limited to MLB 2K13 or 2K12, whatever the last one was to release on the PC. MVPMods.com has a bunch of mods that updates the game.

MVP Baseball 2005 is another good PC game. It's outdated but the modding community at MVPMods is keeping it alive.
