This week it's Maine who goes 6-0 with sweeps of Syracuse and Toronto. The Guides are tied with Seattle for the best record in the league at 87-43. The Pilots went 5-1, along with New Orleans, Philly, and Wilmington. Philly lead the league with 41 runs during those six games while Wilmington lead the league with a 1.86 ERA.

Performance of the Week
RF Zachary Bradley - The top performance of the season now belongs to Bradley, the 26 year old star for the Freedom. On August 28th against LAD he had five hits, three home runs, and drove in seven runs. His game score of 125 is 10 points more than 2nd place. On the season Bradley is hitting .341 with 27 HR's and 93 RBI's.
Injury of the Week
CF Dave Tibbs - On August 30th against Toronto, Tibbs went down in the 3rd chasing down a Robby Lee line drive. He was removed from the game and diagnosed with a strained oblique and will be out over a month. He's hitting .280 with 17 HR's is hard to replace but his +13.9 ZR in centerfield is even more of a loss.
Prospect of the Week
C Benjamin 'Livewire' Johnson - The two time high school all-star hit .458 this season with 9 HR's and 45 RBI's in 33 games. At only 16 his ability at catcher is exciting scouts as his arm strength continues to grow.
Five Things We Think We Think
1. We'll lead off again with the Turell Morris watch. He's now up to 61 home runs, 153 RBI's, and 127 runs scored. This last week he 'only' hit two home runs and drove in seven. He's still on pace to break the RBI and run records.
2. Johnny Swope is going to win the IL Triple Crown, which will be only the 3rd TC in league history. Ricky Murillo did it 1st in 2012 by hitting .344 with 47 HR's and 113 RBI's. CJ Stripling then did it in 2025 by hitting .370 with 38 HR's and 114 RBI's. Swope is currently hitting .363 with 43 HR's and 119 RBI's with a month still to go.
3. With the Dino's going 10-17 in August they have played themselves out of the IL Wildcard race. It now looks like a three way race between Denver, Baltimore, and California for the 4th spot. Meanwhile in the DL Wildcard race Hartford, Pittsburgh, Santo Domingo, and Montreal are all a half game apart for the 3rd and 4th playoff spot. It's going to be a fun September.
4. A few notable players this week from AAA decided to call it a career: Johnny 'Spike' Knott, (35.2 WAR), C.J. Baase (47.8 WAR), Geoff Yonke (113.4 WAR), Ian 'Extreme' Lofink (30.2 WAR), JJ Hanson (22.1 WAR), and Dave 'Frankenstein' Kauffman (48.9 WAR).
5. Our graphic design department has just released a new league logo. After 40+ seasons the league decided it was time for a change. The new logo reflects the current league structure as well as established date.
