    (AP)

    Syracuse stays on top of the PR with a 3-0 short week due to the All-Star game. Other perfect weeks went to Baltimore, Wilmington and Indianapolis. Not so perfect weeks went to New York, New Orleans, Pawtucket and Maine.

    Power Rankings

    1) Syracuse Snappers (143.6, o)
    2) Indianapolis Racers (127.4, o)
    3) Pittsburgh Millers (113.6, ++)
    4) Carolina Tobs (109.8, ++)
    5) Washington Bats (109.8, -)
    6) Baltimore Bulldogs (109.7, ++)
    7) Wilmington Clowns (105.6, ++)
    8) California Kodiaks (104.8, --)
    9) Hartford Whalers (101.7, --)
    10) Windy City Blues (98.9, ++)
    11) Miami Sharks (98.8, +)
    12) Santo Domingo Rum Runners (98.8, --)
    13) Seattle Pilots (95.9, --)
    14) Philadelphia Freedom (93.0, o)
    15) Batavia Red Jackets (91.9, o)

    21) Los Angeles Dinos (63.2, o)
    22) Denver BC (47.5, +)
    23) Maine Guides (39.3, -)
    24) Montreal Exports (28.6, o)

    Performance of the Week

    P Donny Brunke - The 30 year old former 2nd round pick from 2022 torched the Dukes on July 21st by pitching a four hit shutout with eight strikeouts in a 5-0 victory. On the season he is 14-3 with a 3.05 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and 130 ERA+ in 19 starts.

    Injury of the Week

    CF Dave Chance - In the midst of competing for the Bock title he went down hard after hitting a double in the second inning against California on July 21st and sliding into second. The often injured Chance was removed from the game, later diagnosed with Plantar fascitis and will be out for over a month. On the year he was hitting .297/.352/.444 with 7 HR's, 34 RBI's, and a +2.4 ZR in center. With no other good options in the entire organization to play center this could really hurt the Roadrunners down the stretch.

    Prospect of the Week

    P King Sadiraj - Signed from Macedonia in 2032 by Windy City scouts he's currently the #23 overall prospect and playing in the Rookie League for the Boise Bluegills. He's 8-1 with a 2.65 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP in 12 starts and at 21 years old the scouts still believe he has a lot of potential to reach.

    Five Things We Think We Think

    1. The All-Star break has come and gone and it's time to focus on the second half. Before we do that though congrats to the Import League for beating the Domestic 5-3. Second basemen Jimmy Brabec of Batavia was named the MVP after recording two hits and two RBI's, including a solo shot in the 7th off of Steve 'Dum Dum' Fasola.

    2. Pittsburgh must have thought it was Christmas in July as they spent $28,043,698 this week on two IAFA's. On July 19th they welcomed SP Jomo 'Sledgehammer' Konecny from the Czech Republic and C Tomas Ramos from Argentina to the organization. Both are 16 year olds and long shots but sources close to the front office stated the GM was tired of owner TJ Aguilar profiting so much at the end of the season. They also had money to spend after not participating in free agency this year and having no long term contracts coming due. If this creates disharmony at the top which trickles down only time will tell.

    3. Baltimore started out the second half of the season hot as they beat down the New York Knights 9-6, 9-3, and 12-5. The sweep moved New York back to .500 at 45-45 while the Bulldogs are now 53-39 and 1.5 games back from Carolina and Washington who are tied for the Stout lead. With every team .500 or better in the 'division from hell' that's one way to make a statement to open things up. Several clubhouse members stated that getting back P Tomio 'Godzilla' Ono in a trade from Toronto, who was the team captain from 2032-2034, is going to be huge for morale and leadership.

    4. When does Toronto's RF Robert 'Stretch' Jessee crack the Top Players list as decided by the scouts? At 21 years old he's hitting .312/.373/.570 with 20 HR's, 59 RBI's and a 156 wRC+ in 90 games. He was Rookie of the Month in May and June, selected to the All-Star game, and just won his second Player of the Week. He's about a month younger than 21 year old Rory Elia of Carolina who is currently ranked third overall.

    5. Syracuse is 62-29 and has the best record in the league. They lead Pittsburgh by 6.5 games in the Ale and the Millers would have the best record in the league if they were in the Import. Thirty two year old 1B Turell 'Two Ton' Morris leads the league with 29 home runs. Fun fact...the last time the Snappers were in the playoffs was 2027, when 'Two Ton' was 24 years old and playing in the AAA All-Star game.

    Stay of the day is broken. I think it’s old players not having playoff stats via html

      Joe Ponte was a member of the 1990 Freedom team that went to the playoffs but he must have been hurt.
