The Sharks from Miami have the best week as they go 6-1 and show some life this year. Now at 23-29 they are still in the Lager basement but find themselves only five games out of second place. Other big weeks were Indianapolis who went 5-1 and LAD who went 5-2. Indy is now three games out of the Lager lead while the surprising Dinos are 29-23 and three games behind California in the Bock. Speaking of the Kodiaks they are 32-20 and still reign atop the power rankings followed closely by those overachieving underdog Bats from Washington who are 33-20.

Performance of the Week
P Wes Hobgood - On May 25th he turned in the #3 performance of the season when he went 8.2 innings, allowed one run (unearned) on one hit, struck out eight, and walked one...and took the 'L' as Maine beat Hartford 1-0. On the year he's 6-4 with a 2.31 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and 190 ERA+.
Injury of the Week
2B Manny Padilla - This past week the trainers were working overtime as more than a few players found themselves heading towards the injured list. One of them was Padilla who strained his rib cage on May 29th after being waved home on a Aidan Harrell single in the 5th against LAD. He scored but he'll be out for at least a month recovering. The oft-injured Padilla has played in 27 games this season and is hitting .276/.343/.418 with 2 HR's and 12 RBI's while playing 22 games in center.
Prospect of the Week
P Bradley Beehn - Word on the street is that the #1 overall prospect in the league will debut for Seattle this week. Behn was the 15th pick in the 1st round of the 2032 draft and was switched from center field to starting pitcher where he blossomed like a lotus in the spring. Scouts and coaches say his work ethic and intelligence are off the charts and after going 5-1 with a 1.89 ERA in AAA it's time to see what he can do against big league competition.
Five Things We Think We Think
1. It took almost until June but on May 30th the BLB had their first dust up of the season when Dave Hoyt of Carolina and Liam Thomas of Seattle squared off. After Tom Gross hit a solo shot in the 4th inning poor Hoyt got plunked and decided he didn't appreciate that. Hi-jinx and shenanigans ensued and Hoyt got suspended five games and Thomas got three.
2. Rumors from several GM's say that Syracuse star Seth Blankenship is on the move and will be gone by the end of the week. Deep in debt the Snappers have to part ways with the 26 year old who many consider the best young player in the league. The former 1.2 pick from 2031 is hitting .352/.376/.671 with 17 HR's, 34 RBIs, and 13 SB's in 51 games.
3. The NCAA is currently down to the Final Four as Texas A&M is up 1-0 against Arizona State while Miami is up 1-0 against Duke. In the first game of the series the Aggies beat the Sun Devils 25-2 while Miami beat Duke 12-7. The Aggies are led by outfielder James 'Wacky' Vandehey who was drafted 1.5 this year by Maine. Vandehey had four hits, drove in two, and scored five times in the rout of ASU and led Texas A&M in batting average, HR's and RBI's this season.
4. Gil Mandall for the Millers over the last 19 games: .400, 10 HR's, 19 RBI's. The Millers during that time: 6-13. Turell 'Two Ton' Morris for the Kodiaks over the last 17 games: .361, 9 HR's, 17 RBI's. The Kodiaks during that time: 11-6. Even though 'Two Ton' sat out the first few weeks of the season he's still on pace to hit almost 60 home runs.
5. In the Stat of the Week there are three IFA's...can you name them? You get one hint...one is from Panama, one is from the Dominican Republic and the final one is from Japan.
