Sad to see Poland retire but it will be good for us to start a new era.

Sad to see Reese retire. Would have been a great backup option to have around, long as I had him locked up for another year anyway, no matter how sour he got.

Also to Travis Carr. You were a good nickelback. Hopefully Horton can take over the role competently next year. 80.5 PD%. Should have played you more.

Luckily, everyone else on Utah is back. I believe we have some obscenely low number of unrestricted free agents this year. Everybody is locked up and back for more!

Adieu to Poland and Dusty Cowell. Holy Cowell, that's a blow to Memphis, who will need a new field general running the water gun. Also to Dwayne "1/4 Pound" Holzberger, one of my favorite names in this league for a while.

Woo hoo - no retirements in Denver. Glad that I got Terry Scott signed before the new season.

The best news of all in Denver, besides the #6 and #10 overall picks, is 81.3 million in cap room. This to go with what should be a pretty solid free agent crop for multi-player.

Some teams are in huge cap trouble, though. Brooklyn tops the list 23.15 million in the hole before they even draft anyone, and their draft picks are estimated to cost 9.11 million.

I am more than willing to help out anyone in cap trouble, naturally. ;-)

Sad to see Holzberger go. I haven't looked it up, but I'm sure he is on the very short list of players with 3 rings. He also retires #5 all-time in receptions and receiving yards.

T Mitchell Thornton also bids adieu to the OSFL. Named to the All-League team twice and Mitchell also owns every blocking record in franchise history. Not bad for a 5th round pick.

I also noticed that CB Desmond Gougeon retired after spending all of last season as a FA. Desmond was named All-League once and is the franchise leader in INT's and PD's.

Happy fishing to Cowell. He ends with a 5,000+ yard season and a marvelous, marvelous career. #1 in career passing yards (57,433), TD Passes (400), and Pass Completions (4,921). Fo' sure a first ballot hall of famer.
