Either build insane rosters like he does, or don't bend over backwards and compromise yourself by reaching for mediocre WRs high. You just end up with less talent on your roster, and you let him and other bottom-of-the-round guys get better BPAs picking low.

Not that WR isn't important, but yeah :)

I 100% agree with the run-aggressive stuff. There is only maybe a few times a game that I will have a run aggressive defense or any "aggressive" defense for that matter. I completely subscribe to ball control offense and no aggressive defense strategy.

This has kept LAC, since I took over toward the top of the total Defense leader boards and mostly successful seasons. I agree with most of what Ben is saying there, but you can win other ways too, at least in the OSFL. Even though my style has sucked recently in the playoffs, we have a pretty good season record over the years and have a bowl win.

I am not as good with offense as Ben or some of you, I envy the 60 td passes per season for sure! Kudos to Ben for sharing.

FWIW, Ben could save that CCFL gameplan. Hand a copy out to everyone to study, and we would still have a difficult time stopping it.

Oh, and for the record. Koz also owns the record for fewest points allowed in CCFL.

            oh no doubt

but having bears gameplan clearly helped me a lot lets face it tom skeen was worth maybe 2 more games from last year so maybe i was a 7 win team. just ask utah how pathetic i was last year he shut me out 19-0 i was averaging 17 points a game.

i didnt copy bears plan but i used it and i looked at the different teams he played saw his adjustments and learned,

did i go 19-0 no did i get better hell yeah if i played bear would i get smoke darn tootin just saying there is a different level of openess with the FOFC guys (IN GENERAL) than there is with guys in the Vnfl

Where are these gameplans?? I always make mine manually and hope it works.

Nemesis is right except for the "could." Ben in fact *did* publish his gameplan (or rather, the fact that he was using a STOCK unaltered gameplan) for everyone to see, and he still won the bowl. Figuring out other people's gameplans = not all it's cracked up to be. Just do what you do. Unless like me, you don't know what the eff you are doing. Then just hope.

Strick I woulda said the opposite about FOFC and VNFL.

wow really intresting Nutah about the V vs FOFC i mean youve seen me here even when i had some talent (Reese, Stewart et al) i wasnt even a .500 team but i was readinf fofc every chance i got.

this past season same team with a QB arguably worse than Reese i beat teams i had no chance, like yourself and columbus.

Nevermind - I meant FOFC isn't *that* open. Which I guess is what you mean too.

right speaking of guys in the Vnfl Nick summed it up best

"My feeling is Ben is a great gameplanner, and under estimates that factor. I think he way over estimates the WR position."

That is *very* true about Ben as a gameplanner. F'rinstance, look at my WRs right now. Ben, even with Eisenbart, would probably have come close to 5000 yards with them.

Well, um, I told y'all how to game plan, too. ;) If you use the game plan that I put out there (or even the stock Play Action Vertical,) I am not overestimating the value of WRs at all. With that type of game plan, the WRs are far more important than the QB. See the screenies I posted at FOFC of that 22/22 QB using that type of game plan. He didn't put up eye-poping numbers, but numbers better than what most people are getting. (4400 yards, 47 TDs, 113 rating)
