  • Greta's House of Football: 2021

Let's keep a running tab of Greta's lists each week!

    Preseason 4
    Hardest Hitters

    1. MLB Nathan Spriggs, 8th year, 61/61, Yuma (0 PRS/100 PH)
    2. SS Donnie Berlat, 3rd year, 27/33, Utah (100 PH)
    3. FS Kendall Crane, 2nd year, 95/95, Denver (100PH, as well as everything else. Geez.)
    4. WILB R.J. Delgado, 6th year, 74/74, New Orleans (97 PRS/99 PH)
    5. SILB Howard Cote, 6th year, 56/56, Utah (93 PRS/99 PH)
    6. SILB Omar Brotzman, 3rd year, 52/63, Gainesville (53 PRS/99 PH)
    7. SS George Harper, 7th year, 57/57, Dakota (98 PH)
    8. SS Nate Sinclair, R, 51/73, South Maryland (97 PH)
    9. FS Daniel Springer, 11th year, 28/28, Charlotte (96 PH)
    10. FS Roosevelt Dunn, 7th year, 59/59, Dakota (96 PH)

    Discuss!

Good to see ex-Bee Daniel Springer still kicking around on a team and making this list. I am surprised that Berlat is #2.

These are the meanest, baddest bruisers in the OSFL today.

Not one D-Lineman? I would definitely rather get hit by some wussy safety than a 300 pounder on the line.

Would you rather be hit by Ed Reed, or Albert Haynesworth?

Hm. I'd have to see Haynesworth hit somebody before I could decide that.

Seriously though, I was a little surprised too, simply because I have a 100 PH on my DL (Grabulis). Must be some combo of PH & Bench?

I always thought punishing hitter meant that the player was more likely to cause injuries/fumbles. Maybe LBs and safeties get a little extra weight to that bar since they generally get a running start before they hit somebody?

Good lord he made it up to 95? Jeez. He was my #1 ranked player last year, but that's above and beyond what I was expecting.

Not only that, everything but endurance/ST is rated 100...wow.

                Preseason 5

                Best Running Backs

                1. Randall Gellar, 4th year, 79/79, LVS
                2. Antonio Pasricha, 2nd year, 80/80, CHA
                3. Donald Scheungrab, 4th year, 79/79, STP
                4. Isaac Staat, 6th year, 77/77, SMD
                5. Cornelius Jeffords, R, 77/79, DEN
                6. Terrance McCumber, 3rd year, 74/74, LA
                7. Earnest Giang, 5th year, 73/73, PC
                8. Burt Newman, 5th year, 72/72, CAM
                9. Bernard Huerta, 4th year, 70/70, KAL
                10. Rufus Glover, 4th year, 68/68, BKL

Here in Utah, we believe in responding to the talent situation of the league and our division. We traded away two starting DL last year, and the two best run defenders on the team, as a response to the buildup of star RBs in the AC West. That's something they'll never see coming! D'ohh...

Well, yea. After 2019, A.J. McGee was the consensus #1 overall pick in everyone's OSFL fantasy league. The entire nation was disappointed with his performance last year. Everyone is saying he's done, got too many carries and is now in decline

I'ma gonna have to print this up and tape it to the inside of Burt Newman's locker so he can get a good look at it before each and every game.

Last year Burt Newman (the 8th best running back in the league) rushed for 97 more yards than the #7 and #6 ranked backs COMBINED. Although in fairness McCumber and Giang did manage to combine for 21 total touchdowns compared to Newman's 20.

In OSFL history only 2 backs have managed more than 2000 yards on the ground in a single season. Newman's average season for his career is 2023.5 yards. Only 8 times has a back rushed for more than 1900 yards in a season, 4 of those times it's been Newman.

Damn Greta must really hate fumbles.

Also forgot to point out, 3 of the top 10 running backs are in the NC East.

Boston, please try and get with the program.
