  • 2022 FA 1.5 SIM Complete - Next SIM Monday 12/12

    http://simgamingnetwork.com/osfl/lea...t_12_11_11.zip

Next SIM Monday 12/12. Files due by 6pm ET.

FA SIM 1.6 is next up on the list.

Please note the results of the two rule change polls that are now closed. These changes take effect immediately

    1) There are no longer restrictions on player contract renegotiations. You are free to renegotiate with any player on your roster that is currently under contract.

    2) The Grey Sheet rule has been replaced with the new 3 year minimum contract for any FA during FA 1.X.

Let me know if anyone has any questions about these new changes. They are now in place for this 2022 season.

Finally starting to make some signings.

Some more food for thought: I saw a league that had an exception on the 3-year rule for players year 10 or above. Based on the response so far, maybe that would be a fair addition to the 3-year rule. As a disclaimer, this league also has a gazillion other little, specific rules and I have no idea how they can deal with all of them But that's one that may be an interesting dynamic to explore next season.

At the least, though, a rule that is extremely common in FOF MP leagues is not ridiculous. I'm just throwing random ideas out there.

i dunno, hes had to rescind at least 4 contracts offered by the cpu (Columbus) that wouldnt have been an issue under the old rule. more importantly can anyone recall a grey sheet infraction that required intervention? i only recall 1

everyone said "its easier for the commish" i see him doing more work (rescinding offers) than before

I didn't believe AI deals were going to be rescinded when we were discussing the rule.

Yeah, the A.I. deals should be left alone. If no one outbids them for the players they sign, then no one wanted those players.

hmm so if they make an Illegal offer (1 or 2 years) we should leave it? i was of the understanding a 1 year deal will usually beat out a longer one

1st year salary + bonus money > someone else's 1st year salary +bonus money will win, regardless of amount of years. People exploit it by making massive one year deals that can't be matched by multi year contracts. AI won't do this.
