  • 2022 FA 1.9 SIM Complete - Next SIM Tuesday 12/20

My apologies to everyone for the delay to yesterday's SIM. I was all set to run it yesterday morning when I lost access to SGN. Then I was on the road all afternoon/evening. I still can't get into the Draft Utility, so we'll try to figure out what's going on there. As far as I can tell we're not finished yet and we're in the early part of the 7th rd. Hopefully things get back to normal soon. Thanks!

Next SIM Tuesday 12/20. Files due by 69m ET.

FA SIM 1.10 is next up on the list.

Please note the results of the two rule change polls that are now closed. These changes take effect immediately

    1) There are no longer restrictions on player contract renegotiations. You are free to renegotiate with any player on your roster that is currently under contract.

    2) The Grey Sheet rule has been replaced with the new 3 year minimum contract for any FA during FA 1.X.

Let me know if anyone has any questions about these new changes. They are now in place for this 2022 season.

No worries, I think none of us could, at least until midnight for me (Europe zone time). And the draft utility (and forum) exploded just two picks before mine.

Well, I have all the pick email notifications saved, so I have all the picks up to the point where the utility "crashed". We'll try to get the utility back up and running, but if not I guess I'll enter all the picks in-game and then run an extract on the remaining players and we'll finish the picks on the forum. Not ideal, but thankfully we're all the way to the 7th rd. Hopefully it doesn't come to that, but we'll adjust as needed. I'll try to have a gameplan/update for everyone by tomorrow morning.

Let's all pile on strick as he was the one who was supposed to be picking when it died. Clearly he didn't like his picks so he sabotaged the whole operation.

I wonder if this all has to do with that first round center, still...

I honestly think the issue is much more global (site wise) in nature as opposed to directly related to the Draft Utility.

yeah, you are probably right, and that is good to hear.

Hey - first round rookies are here! Thanks, Brad!

Thoughts...I may regret passing on RB Kevin Sanderson (54/61). CB Harvey Jefferson (46/68) looks awful good. WR Darrin Southern (36/49) should pop in camp and maybe make some people regret letting him slide to 12. OLB Marshall Lustgarten (56/85), wow! Wow, wow, wow.

Washington's DE Mikeska comes out only 30/39, but I thought he was one of the better ones in the draft. Still do.

For myself, we ended up with LT Cedric Rodgers (20/48). Solid, hardly spectacular, a bit of a disappointment for a first rounder unless he has an exceptional camp. He's moving to guard, anyway, more than likely.

He is nothing close to OG Herb Conway (30/61). Grumble, grumble, grumble.

Max Montano is beastly, as expected. WR Grayson is 52 future... About what I figured. FB Lenny Irwin is 70 future, and switches to TE with 94% retention. Not sure what I'll do there

Well Benton is a 34/70 so if he has any kind of training camp he'll improve my secondary.

Are we supposed to try to sign our pick this SIM or wait until they're all in?

You can't actually sign them until Late FA starts, so not until everyone is in and we are at FA 2-1.

If I'm not mistaken, the game won't even allow you to sign until the draft is completed in game.

Yeah, ouch, shows up as 29/38 on my roster. But I do expect him to pop in camp.

If he doesn't go up I'll be surprised, though I suppose the agil combine could be a sign that he's not as elite as one would hope. We'll see.
