Hopefully, he was just very rusty and will look better after the bye week.
I'll repeat what I said in the other thread: Enjoy the INTs.

This game was in doubt for a long, long time. Glad we were able to close it out. Randy Boone was unflappable today, having a terrific outing in spite of having two touchdowns called back due to holding penalties. gg kosar - it was a fight.

You have the better team. Ten penalties really hurt you. And six drops didn't help my cause. Your d-line exerted its will in the second half with four sacks.

You have a nice OL, a pain to pass rush on. You really corralled Melnick, which is impressive. Kerr, our DE, managed to have some success on the RT with his lower pass blocking. I forgot to mention this in the pre-game, you have some injuries you are dealing with and we're lucky that stud rookie DT, Howie Rhett, was out this game.

You were moving the ball pretty well on us until close to the end. You had some bad holding calls yourself in the 2nd half, too.

Fun matchup as always, good luck the rest of the way! I just noticed your DE, Asperilla, climbed another point this week to 80/80. He was only 79/79 before the game. That is an exceptionally good draft pick. Big-time steal at #12!

Exciting game against Portland. They did what they wanted - scored fast and went deep often. We did what we wanted - ball control and grinding it out. Missed a FG to win it in regulation, but got it first in OT and made up for it 3 mins. later.

Tito Webb is our not-so-secret weapon. Receiving numbers aren't great this time (5 for 69), but his four kickoff returns for ~30 yards apiece kept us in it and made it easy in OT, starting from their 49.

Heh, odd side note. Just noticed that that missed FG in regulation and made FG in OT were Hunter Bauer's first and second of the season. Four games without a field goal, weird. No wonder he was rusty on that first one.

                Washington vs Portland

The game was definetly a good divisional game and creating a possible rival, but hey with poor special teams play putting you into great field position all day, it was all Castillo could do to put a 2 minute drive at the end of the game to take it into overtime.

On a footnote: What was up with your 9 yard reception that turned into a fumble recovery for a TD, lol. Good Game. Looking forward to the rematch.

GG Strick. It was tough watching those last 5 minutes!!! We have a way to go to get this team into being a winner, and losing games like this make the waiting painful.

gg dakota. Hell of a drive to pull out the win. I had a feeling that a healthy Roy Parrish was going to make us pay for the way we abused him in last year's playoffs. 41 yard scramble with 35 seconds left to set up the go ahead score. Crazy.

Hopefully we get another chance at ya this year.

That thrashing was one of the worst games Parrish has had since I took over the team. I was ready to kill him after he chucked up that interception in our territory with little time to go and a slight lead. He sure redeemed himself on the final drive, though! Hope to see you guys in the playoffs again, my team got old, but we're off to a hot start.
