Paul Covington scares the bejeezus out of me. He is going to quite possibly be a 90-rated QB. And I don't mean QBR.

By the way, tomorrow's sim is the last chance you have to sign your restricted free agents.

I don't know how to interpret pre-TC numbers, but 70/70 for Joseph Jenkins feels pretty OK.

Not a bad start to looking for Gardner's replacement.

            more like COMPLETELY AWEEEEESOMEEEEEEE.

I don't remember what Gardner looked like in his day, but I'm guessing you won't miss him a bit. Really has me wishing I had taken him instead, especially since it seems I could have gotten a stud corner at 2.27

I usually look at it this way: if the current rating is pretty low relative to the future, it may be a bad sign. I like to compare the current/potential % to their developed % -- if the developed % is lower, or significantly lower, it's often a good sign.

I'll also look at the player's red and green bars by going to the Trade Information page and right clicking on their name -- only signed rookies are on that list though. To see how developed various bars are, etc. It's a good sign when bars that don't usually show up very developed, like Get Downfield, are almost completely red already.

Oh yeah, and after I sign them, I cut them without exporting to see if their numbers go up or down. Down = bad, up = good

I didn't understand anything after "Completely Awesome", but that's all I needed to hear.

There were stud CB's going in the 4th round Nutah! I think I put too much emphasis on combines.

Also glad I didn't fix my list, got auto'd, and snagged that 6/9 DL in the 3rd.

If there were studs in the 4th round, then it's my own darn fault because I drafted some scrub in the 3rd.

That DT will be one to watch in TC for sure though. He's only 26% developed. He could boom...a lot. But he would have to, to amount to anything. I dunno unless you're in cap hell, I'd probably sign him. His combine was pretty up there.

as someone playing you twice a year and finally being happy that Gardner is done --- I can't say I'm looking forward to this

(But I will be putting some virtual helmets on his virtual knees)...
