      How much does he want? If the reneg demand is way over what his current salary is, you can try capping a guy out during the first FA stage before they get a chance to hold out. It's risky because they will get their big contract anyway sooner or later and you're making it more painful to you for whenever that is by giving him more bonus...but on the other hand, you're guaranteeing it doesn't happen this year.
