Brad, I've uploaded with 61 players so please make sure to process the Morgantown trade before gamtime. I have Rau deactivated so hopefully he shows up on the roster that way or garion reuploads (we had discussed this).

Is 60 a game choice or league choice...as in can I export with 60+ or will the game stop me? If I don't have 60 then HAL takes over?

70 is the league rule during the offseason, 60 is the game enforced limit for the preseason (regular season being 53).

You can export with 60+, but the AI is just going to go through your roster and cut whatever it likes to get you down to the legal limit -- the same as if you don't have enough players on the roster at a certain position group, etc.

IRs and unsigned rookies don't count against the 60 or 53 limit, but I think holdouts still do.

If you export with 60+ the game should give you a warning. In this case my extra guy is going off to Morgantown, who is short of 60 to start with, so it'll be OK, as long as the trade happens prior to the game.

I was thinking the other day that this year was the most hoarding I've ever seen ... and I think it had to do with the new FA1 rule (and its exploit). Could be my perception, but it may not be. Dunno.

I didn't reup. I'll just get rexxed for my first preseason game, not that big of a deal.

Well, the same thing would happen with or without it. Especially in the Late FA stage where there are a million rookies to be had, and no contract rules at all.

I don't know why more teams don't go up to 70 - I guess when they are marginal iffy players it doesn't really matter and just makes cutdown day easier.

Hopefully the guy will show up inactive and you won't get rexxed.

Roster limits aren't enforced until you have a game. So if you're over 60 for your first preseason game the AI will cut you down until you're legal.

But because it's not enforced unless you have a game, you can be over the limit if you have a bye in the preseason or regular season #protip

The rookies always happen, that's fine, but the proliferation of the $5.00 million salary and no bonus made quite a few people able to pick up players that perhaps they wouldn't have if there was "normal" bidding.
